Help & Contact
Answers to the most common questions — and how to reach us if yours isn't here.
Account & sign-in
How do I reset my password?
From the sign-in page, click "Forgot password?" and enter your email. If an account exists for that address, a reset link is on its way.
How do I set up two-factor authentication?
Go to Edit Profile → Account Security and click "Set up two-factor authentication." We recommend enrolling more than one authenticator once you have your first one working, so you're not locked out if you lose a device.
I lost access to every authenticator I have enrolled, and I can't sign in — what now?
Dracarium can't automatically restore two-factor access if every enrolled authenticator is lost — this is a known limitation (see the Terms of Service, section 4). Since you can't sign in to reach Support, use the contact email in the Something else section below and we'll help you recover your account manually.
How do I delete my account?
Go to Edit Profile → Danger Zone and click "Delete my account." You'll have a 30-day grace period to change your mind before it's permanent.
Direct messages & privacy
Who can send me a direct message?
You control this from Edit Profile → Direct Messages — "Everyone," "People I follow," "Mutuals only," or "No one." A message from outside that circle lands as a request you can accept or ignore, rather than being blocked outright.
How do I block or mute someone?
From their profile page. Muting stops you from seeing them; blocking also stops them from seeing your profile or contacting you. Neither requires a reason, and using them isn't something you need to justify to anyone.
Why did someone's message land in "Requests" instead of my main inbox?
That's your own Direct Messages setting at work — a first message from someone outside the circle you've chosen shows up as a request until you accept it.
Reporting & moderation
How do I report a review, comment, quote, message, or profile?
Every one of those has its own report option where it appears on the site. Reporting sends it to a moderator's queue — the person you reported is never told who reported them.
I received a warning or was suspended — can I appeal it?
Yes. Use the contact form below and choose "Appeal a suspension or warning." A suspended account can still submit an appeal — that's specifically what it's there for.
What can I still do while suspended?
Everything except posting new content — reviews, comments, quotes, diary entries, likes, lists, follows, added books, buddy reads, and direct messages are blocked until the suspension is lifted. Browsing and account management aren't affected.
Your data
How do I download my data?
Edit Profile → Your Data → "Download my data." It includes your ratings, diary entries, reviews, custom lists, quotes, reading goals, and direct messages.
Do you sell my data or use tracking ads?
No, to both — see the Privacy Policy for the full picture of what we collect and why.
